A spring-loaded 3D-printed arm is connected by flange bearings on both sides and loaded back by a linear actuator which follows the curve to convert linear to rotary motion. A microcontroller is then used to turn a servo when the arm is entirely back to hold it while the linear actuator retracts to its original position. When ready to fire, clicking the button tells the microcontroller to turn the servo which releases the arm sending the payload flying.
